Ok, I thought initially, have a beta site where people can just try dnn out.. if they don't have environment to get working, let them look.  I haven't had a chance to touch the skinning side of it, that's coming in the next day or so.  I sent out an email over the weekend to my users, and *sigh*.. sorry, for some I botched up the links.. I was just in a little bit of a hurry and I am really sorry, but most made their way to the site http://www.dnnbeta.com anyway, so not too much headache. Next time I'll allow more time and not get so frazzled!

Then as I was exporting my registered users, I realised, wow, so many exciting countries and people all over the world who want to work with DotNetnuke, but where do they go??  And I thought ok, well, I've got a testing server, sort of testing, doesn't run much, so why not put DNN 3.04 to the test, provide an environment for all languages to build their localisation files together.. and from there I just mentioned it .. and the response has been so exciting for the DotNetNuke community.

I know this might have been suggested and tried before, but to be honest, I don't know if we had enough resources, global users, knowledge, whatever, I'm not sure, but however, now I've set Kirsty on some tasks and with the use the new features of DNN 3.04 (beta) although in testing mode, a great time to start.

So, I have setup about 40 subdomains, including languages requested, a ML forum, several business subdomains and about 100 child portals I am putting on a single DB.  If there ever was a good time to test, it's now.  I'll try to keep everyone posted, but I had an idea with the localisation sites.  Wouldn't it be great if we could use them as a resource place to build help files and a knowledge base.  I know there are different languages, and it wouldn't be a site trying to take away from the countries that have their own DotNetNuke official site, but a pooling of resources to further grown DNN.

*sigh*.. ok it might be a bit grandious.. who knows, but I really have been so inspired by the range of people, using DNN for many different purposes, community, personal, profit, learning, whatever.  And I'm getting back into the skinning, documentation, training and stuff with lots of new ideas and very inspired...

So there you have it.. if you are interested at all in helping, every little bit makes a difference..

Cheers from Australia
