Well so much for a few days off over Easter - it was not to be, but necessary on my pursuit to provide a really good resource place regarding everything to do with skinning, site design and small snippets of information that make DotNetNuke sing along.

And it's quite exciting - the feedback I've received from other developers, and 50 new modules to date - after only 14 days of the final release of dotnetnuke - you can see more on the dotnetnuke site - I'll be trying some of them, but you know what - there are so many good features to the new version I'd like to get to know them a bit more before adding more modules.  I think I'm all tested out - just give me something that works for goodness sake and let me get some skinning work done.

The forum / blogs module will be split up further - I've skinned using the grey skin as it seems to be more neutral and works in with all the colours.  There are more things required to be done, including the renaming of the classes as I noticed on installation that it killed of a couple of my footers on another skin, and the text on the particular page was affected.  I realise the importance of good information being feed to module developers to help them create easy to modify classes that don't affect the whole skin, and I know there is documenatation around, I haven't had a chance to read it.

So I'm here, hard at work, deep in thought, making some decision, trying out a couple of ideas - around solpart and ways to make it look great by using panes. Working with Armand on his projects, quite cool, and answering email email email.. If I'm a bit slow, hey - it's Easter, and I have been spending a bit of time with my family, who fortunately are happy to work around my DotNetNuke work as well, but really- I've done alot of thinking, pen on paper and mind mapping thoughts to identify where I can work faster, where I can make a difference.. and when shall I start my newsletters on a regular basis, and what will I say.

It's not as if there's nothing to say- it's a matter of having something people want to read!
