I had some problems with server yesterday - and as it was showing up the frequent - 'Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size was reached.' message that plagued me until I commented out the 'compression' from the web.config and turned the caching to 'memory' not disk and a couple of other things.
It dawned on me that not everyone wants the public to know it's running a DNN site, so... how to get around it...
It's easy - in the root folder you'll see a 'logo.gif' file - just replace it with your own or your clients. This might be handy for those who don't want to tell their clients they are running dnn.
You'll also fine it appears in other areas, and I'll explain how you can build a completely independent build for your business or for those who want to have a 'master portal' to roll out.
That was something new for the day.
