Ok so a busy day on the forums, sorry haven't had much time to be there, as I've had alot of other work to do. I notice there are some headaches with the build, but thank goodness, these, I believe are not huge problems, just annoying ones, but the friendly urls is proving to cause some more challenges and, not being a coder, I'm not sure of the reason why.
I have had meetings today as well as shipping off some skins, and I am pretty sure the release candidate is just around the corner now, yes I know I say that and it's not been delivered and there are annoying things about the 3.0.10 beta, but they aren't show stoppers as far as I know and I'm looking forward to getting some of my newer sites, that don't have any third party modules, on to 3 as soon as it becomes RC.
I'm now wondering about having my skinning store on 3 - as the forums I believe have been tested, catalook will be out with the final update.
Having my new skinning docs and help files in a very cool exe - been testing that with the developer - AnthonyB is very smart.. as is AnthonyG so does that mean all people with the name Anthony are smart? Who knows.
Spoke briefly with another company I've been dealing with since late last year and looks like some more formal business arrangements will be put in place, then I can divulge more, but it's interesting times ahead with the maturation of DNN3 and the knowledge we've developed over the last year or so, means that we're ready to hit the ground running once 3 is released.
Haven't got much more to say except - oh yes.. fileserver is being installed tomorrow - very happy - so network will run smoother and we've ironed out some rather annoying bugs we've had over the last 3 months. All I need to do is have enough time off to do a reformat - it's been over 6 months now and I normally reformat every 6 - 7 months - and for those who don't and have installs that last for years, I salute you!! How the H#LL do you get to do it?
I wonder if anyone will be annoyed if I launch my new site 95% finished... or should I just say- OK, keep building it, it will get better..
That's it folks, not much news, but another day in the life of...
