Well, my mind is a flurry of excitement now as since 3 is official, I can get the things cleaned up that I've been working on and focus on closure - and beginnings and got a few more hours of sleep - I didn't realise how tired I was, and how tired others must be.  So it has been a hectic day today just answering help questions -

Firstly - sorted out a skin with Daniel Egan - from Egan Enterprises, I'd like to interview him hes' an interesting guy and with his book launch - hope to learn more about DotNetNuke.  Spent alot of the day on that skin and also, on Friday spent time with Bonnie - modifiying a purchased skin to make it suit her requirements, and I see things here that make me realise the importance of some screen shots and I bought a microphone again so I can do some audio/video explanations because some little things are hard to describe but make a difference.

I had a microphone/headset but was annoyed one day and ripped it out of the back of my computer, but the angle must have been such that it removed the microphone and headset instead.. so I nothing.. That will teach me for trying to listen to people while on the phone.

Well we converted most of the default skins to snapsis, have converted nearly all the skins to dnn3, and will put in the search functionality next to complete the process.  I am using a different approach, not one of modifying but actually reubilding the skin using the DNN3 structure as I believe it's a better way. We'll do some further pane customisations too.

 I noticed I have been very tired and missed didn't check a couple of things and will rectify this - things like the control panel being displayed when not logged in.  Well I learnt that you don't apply the class, then it won't show.. DUH.. didn't get that one for a while but have re uploaded the MacMe3 skins.

And I know I keep saying I'm going to email a newsletter, but really what's the point until I get my skins finished.. I mean, isn't that what people want. 

Well I would like to say a big thankyou to Charles Kelsoe who has kindly emailed me the dnn3 containers he's done and I'm going to check them out and install them and I am grateful to have these extra sets of hands and eyes from generous people who help me keep the monolith turning.. Really appreciate it!!

I have a busy week this week, partially out of the office, and I'm taking Friday off to go the AirShow at Avalon, with a colleague.. so that willl be fun. Andrew doesn't want to go.  I went to one a few years ago where there was a fatal crash - and it's sort of surreal to be watching a plane and then it's just a huge ball of smoke in front of you - there is an element of shock and disbelief, but very strange because you can shut your eyes and see the event in slow motion, like that point in time was a snapshot event. I'm anticipating that it won't be the same on Friday. 

Tomorrow - core team chat again - bit of feedback on what's been happening since the release. I haven't installed the forums/blogs on http://www.dnnbeta.com but will do so soon.  I can't get it working locally - something to do with IP addresses, who knows, but I'll keep working live for now.

John Mitchell from Snapsis will be installing the latest of his great Snapsis engine and we'll have those for free download in the coming week. 

I'm reorganising the pages a bit and will split DNN2 & DNN3 so that we can find things as I'm going to have alot of free skins on here..  On my skinning store there won't be the free skins, they will always be here. I can't see the sense in moving them.

Have been working on some topics for newsletter - I had alread setup a format  - and will have in the future information for registered users only. I have to work out the best way for getting it part of the whole website and mail out - so many decisions, but now I see a clearer path and with the functionality of 3 I can't wait to share it all, well as much as I can explain in English that's easy enough to decipher.

What else- hmm, lots of things - I think I'm going to do more smaller blogs during the day- sometimes I get ideas of things I want to talk about and then forget or can't quite catch that thought again, so started thinking - I can add an entry more than once.... *sigh*.. you know you have to wonder sometimes..
