First of all, I'm not really complaining.... am I? or am I! Sometimes I think there is so much to take in that you get moments of mind fill... as opposed to land fill, which probably has the same affect. Man I get lots of ideas, have projects I'm reading through, plans for my new site so I can lay information out, working on Catalook (which is a damn hot product if you ask me) and it's hard work. Not that I'm opposed to hard work - it's just that there is so much of it if you ask me and I want some little easy jobs thanks.
From what I see, we're getting busier, and Kirsty is doing alot of the skin conversions and we're readdressing how the files should be, how to create uniformity etc. You know the state of affairs while you work through your ideas, then you have to reshuffle them a little. That's where we are at right now and but I'm excited still.
I think 3.0.12 is the best release DotNetNuke core developers have turned out. I'm seeing a quality of modules, ideas that further push productivity, site performance, concepts even more and it's quite inspiring. But that means more to learn.
I have to decide what forum I will be using - should it be the core one, which I love, from TTT and I'm skinning still and it requires more work, but it integrates with the gallery, and the blogs, (this is for the skincovered.com) OR should I use the Active forum which is already working well on 3? How loyal should I be or should I wait the forums to be more thoroughly tested and then put them online?
So how do I pass this information on to someone else? Kirsty has been with me for a year now and is not only proficient in understanding the concepts of skinning, but talented a explaining how things work in a plain english so that someone who isn't an expert can take it in and start benefiting from it.
Anthony has created a fabulous product that will allow me to have dynamic help which means that a single downloaded exe will talk with the server and have updated information. It's being fine tuned now, but just imagine having a product that, when you open it, either updates automatically or shows a different front page. Very cool and it's going to be an integral part of the design and skinning education that will be available on skincovered. XD will always be my free skins resource, but the new site will be different.
Well, it's back to the saltmines, learning a couple of things, particularly Catalook and look forward to a new site launch this week. .. Yes this week - I've set it as my goal, as well as several new sites started, and the others are now being packged for delivery to their clients and a new lot of sites developed by XD will be shown online.
So many ideas.. main thing is to keep the focus.
