Anyway, I have tried. I had no problems getting 3.0.11 working, normally I wait for a developer to send me a compiled code before the release, so we can check it. Sometimes I post onto my site - eg.. http://www.dnnbeta.com is running 3.0.11 and I have tried and tried and tried to get working. Something has changed,  I don't know what. but it ain't happening for me.

When things like this happen, for someone who is a none coder..I find it awkward and frustrating to say the least because I don't know if it's a bug or me.. I just follow the yellow brick road and click those buttons. 

I really don't think it's a bug but perhaps slight changes in the installation preocedure I haven't quite mastered yet. So I thought I would wait until someone else gets it working and follow their lead as I think my 2.5 hours of trying both locally and live on my win2k server is enough to make the decision that I just don't get it !! GRRR.

I answered a few email, and visited the forums, answered a couple of problem skin emails.  Feeling a bit under pressure here with the skinning doc.It's a whitepaper, not a complete how to guide - and I have to get it ok'd so need to send to a couple of people for review.

So, how did the day pan out - well a bit ordinary - get disheartened not being a developer sometimes and not being able to get something working and no one can sort it out because they dont' run the same setup as me..

And I forgot to check the Publish box so it's posted a little later.. sorry.

Error -  The stored procedure 'dbo.GetPortalAliasByPortalID' doesn't exist

Changed true to false and the portal install completed successfully
